【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverlinedinteriorstandpipefirehoseinthe1-1/2and2-1/2inchsizesthatisintended:a)Forfire-protectionpurposesonly;b)ForusewithinsidestandpipesinstalledinaccordancewiththeStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14;c)Foruseonhoseracksandreelsandincabinetswherethespecificcombinationofhoseandrack,reel,orcabinethasbeeninvestigatedandfoundacceptable;d)Towithstandinfrequentservice;ande)Tobeperiodicallyinspectedandmaintainedwhileinservice,asoutlinedintheStandardfortheCare,UseandServiceTestingofFireHoseIncludingConnectionsandNozzles,NFPA1962.The1-1/2inchsizehoseisintendedforuseprimarilybythebuildingoccupantsforthecontrolofincipientfiresuntilthearrivalofthefiredepartment;thatis,forClassIIServiceasdefinedintheStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14.The2-1/2inchsizehoseisintendedforusebyfiredepartmentsandthosetrainedinhandlinglargewaterstreamsrequiredduringthemoreadvancestagesoffireontheinsideofbuildingsorforexposurefireprotection,thatis,forClassIServiceasdefinedintheStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14.Theserequirementsdonotcovercouplingsnortheirmethodofattachment.
