【摘要】:Thisstandarddefinesaprotocolenablingprecisesynchronizationofclocksinmeasurementandcontrolsystemsimplementedwithtechnologiessuchasnetworkcommunication,localcomputing,anddistributedobjects.Theprotocolisapplicabletosystemscommunicatingbylocalareanetworkssupportingmulticastmessagingincluding,butnotlimitedto,Ethernet.Theprotocolenablesheterogeneoussystemsthatincludeclocksofvariousinherentprecision,resolution,andstabilitytosynchronizetoagrandmasterclock.Theprotocolsupportssystem-widesynchronizationaccuracyinthesub-microsecondrangewithminimalnetworkandlocalclockcomputingresources.Thedefaultbehavioroftheprotocolallowssimplesystemstobeinstalledandoperatedwithoutrequiringtheadministrativeattentionofusers.ThestandardincludesmappingstoUserDatagramProtocol(UDP)/InternetProtocol(IP),DeviceNet,andalayer-2Ethernetimplementation.Itincludesformalmechanismsformessageextensions,highersamplingrates,correctionforasymmetry,aclocktypetoreduceerroraccumulationinlargetopologies,andspecificationsonhowtoincorporatetheresultingadditionaldataintothesynchronizationprotocol.Thestandardpermitssynchronizationaccuraciesbetterthan1ns.Theprotocolhasfeaturestoaddressapplicationswhereredundancyandsecurityarearequirement.Thestandarddefinesconformanceandmanagementcapability.Thereisprovisiontosupportunicastaswellasmulticastmessaging.Thestandardincludesanannexonrecommendedpractices.Annexesdefiningcommunication-medium-specificimplementationdetailsforadditionalnetworkimplementationsareexpectedtobeprovidedinfutureversionsofthisstandard.
