【摘要】:Stainingofabuildingisanaestheticallyundesireableoccurance.Thistestmethodevaluatesthelikelihoodofasealantcausingearlystainonaporoussubstrateduetocertainchemicalexudationsfromthesealant.4.1.1Thistestmethodmaynotpredictstainingcausedbysuchfactorsasresiduerun-downordirtpick-upbyasealantexudate.Thistestmethodisusefultopredictpotentialcolorchangesinthesealantitselfafterweathering.Thistestmethodmeasurescolorchangeinasealantandstainingofsubstratebythesealantunderconditionsofartificialweathering.SeealsoTestMethodD2203,whichmeasuresstainingbyasealantduetogrossexudationsfromthesealant;itdoesnotsubjectthesealanttoartificialweathering.1.1Thistestmethodcoversanacceleratedlaboratoryproceduretodetermineifasampleofajointsealantwillstainthesubstratewhenincontractwithmasonry,concrete,orstone(suchasmarble,limestone,sandstone,andgranite).Thistestmethodalsoisintendedtodeterminewhetherthesealantitselfwillchangeincolorwhenexposedtotheweather.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluegiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
